Pigmented lesions are caused due to the high concentration of the pigment Melanin in the skin. Melanin is what decides the color of our skin. In fact, the amount of Melanin varies with each person. One of the factors which causes high amount of Melanin in the skin is excessive exposure to the damaging rays of the sun. Much to the relief of those suffering from this condition, pigmented lesions can be effectively treated using laser rays.

Some sensitive skin types require a one-time application of glucocorticoid cream immediately after the treatment and also an antiseptic cream for a short time.
